Marilyn Monroe & Jane Russell - Hollywood Stars

Hollywood, at one time, was the ultimate symbol of true glamour.

Not that glamour is gone or no longer exists, but it seems that with the amount of media and internet coverage available today there is no shortage of "celebrities" in the country.

In fact, there are way too many people who are called celebs when they really are not.

Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell earned their celebrity status in substantially different ways than do actresses today and in a much tougher environment.

Following is a short video that includes photos and footage of Marilyn and Jane laying their hand and feet prints at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA.

The audio portion included is a portion of an interview where Marilyn is talking about her youth, going to Hollywood to watch movies and such, long before she became one of Hollywood's biggest stars.

The end result of their visit to the theater that June day in 1953, over a half-century later - in 2010.
To Marilyn and Jane . . .

You are special, You are missed, You will always be remembered.

Over For Now.
