Orchidaceae is a most fascinating flower.
Commonly referred to as the Orchid family, Orchidaceae is a diverse and widespread family of flowering plants, with between 21,950 and 26,049 currently accepted species. That is a seriously large number.
The uses of this spectacular flower are many. The vanilla orchid genus is used as a food flavoring, and other species are ground to powders for cooking and even to flavor rum. And there is, of course, the scent of orchid in perfumes.
However, one of the best is simply to visually enjoy her magnificence and splendor.
