The arboretum was once the home of industrialist Pierre S. du Pont and people have been allowed to visit the incredible displays even prior to his ownership, since about 1798.
Each season brings new life and spendor and the management and staff at the gardens go to great lengths to provide visitors with a fabulous experience.
